MobilizeU Summer 2021
MobilizeU is a course designed for faculty researchers, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, staff, alumni, and community partners who are interested in learning more about Knowledge Mobilization (KMb).
This summer, MobilizeU will be presented in collaboration with Memorial University of Newfoundland and the University of Winnipeg.
Interested participants can apply to participate in the 8 week self-directed online course. Taught by leading KMb professionals and researchers, participants will learn about theoretical and practical aspects of effective KMb.

Applications are due before 5:00 pm EST on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Anyone interested in learning more about knowledge mobilization may apply to take the course but preference will be given to York University, Memorial University of Newfoundland or University of Winnipeg faculty, postdocs, staff, graduate students and alumni who have graduated in the last two years.
The course will be free for York University, Memorial University of Newfoundland and the University of Winnipeg faculty, postdocs, staff, graduate students and alumni who have graduated in the last two years. $100- Community partners involved in research projects with York University, Memorial University of Newfoundland or University of Winnipeg researchers OR York University, Memorial University of Newfoundland or University of Winnipeg Alumni who graduated more than two years ago. $300- All others
The course will run from Tuesday, June 1 to Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Content for each week’s topic, including videos and resources, will be uploaded to the course online platform every Tuesday morning starting on June 1. Participants can watch the videos whenever it suits them best. The recorded video will be complimented by a weekly live session which will happen every Tuesday afternoon at 2:30-4:00 EDT (UTC/GMT -4 hours) starting June 8. The live session will feature guest speakers who will address the weekly topic and give participants a chance to ask any questions they may have about the weekly topic. These sessions will also be recorded and made available to watch later.
The summer version of MobilizeU will be a self-directed online version of the course. Each week new videos and resources will be uploaded to a private online platform. Participants can watch the videos whenever they like. We will also be scheduling weekly live zoom meetings featuring guest speakers who will address the weekly topic and allow participants to ask any questions they may have.
